Mobile Phone Wrist Watches - Four Reasons to Sell Them on EBay

You don’t have to spend a long time in the ecommerce industry before you realize how hard it is to sell trademarked phones.

What with competition between sellers and increasingly shrinking profit margins it has become almost impossible for anyone to break into the market or increase their market share and even retaining their place requires a lot more marketing than previously required.

Thankfully though a style of gadget has arrived on the scene that has cutting-edge technology tied into it but has been a part of peoples imaginations since the 1930s if not earlier.

I am of course talking about the mobile phone wrist watch. I think, and I’m sure that you’ll agree, that not only that this will be the coolest type of gadget to emerge this year but it will also sell very strongly online, and in bricks and mortar stores once the general public is aware of it.

Why don’t I think that the general public is aware of it yet? Because the mainstream media has only just started asking the gadget community about this technology and have only now started to ask to write reviews about it and yet have shown extreme interest in details of cell phone wrist watches. This means that the general public, who still largely rely on mass media for information, still don’t yet know these gadgets exist.

Here are some reasons why I think the cell phone wrist watch will be a successful seller:

1) Convenience

A phone that you wear is the very measure of convenience. You no longer need to worry if you have your phone, or be concerned that you might loose your phone as the touchscreen mobile phone wrist watch is always on your wrist. Short of someone stealing it loosing your phone will be a thing of the past. And when it comes to meetings and conferences you will be able to discretely check messages and phone numbers without pulling out your cellphone.

2) Convergence

Not so long ago the buzzword on everyone’s lips was convergence, or the merging of new technology into everyday accessories, which people wear everyday.

Watches are a big part of our culture and many people feel naked without a watch. With these mobile phone wrist watches their watch becomes a high tech gadget which fills two purposes, not just one.

3) Functionality

Quite often when something is reduced in size the functionality decreases as well. Apples new notebook, the Apple Air is a great example of this.

However, this has not happened with the cell phone watch. Most cell phone watches come with a camera, touchscreen technology and MP3 and MP4 player, as well as handwriting recognition for text messages… much of the functions you would see in something like an iPhone or some other kind of smartphone. Some are already promoting GPS services with cell phone watches, something Apple fans have had to wait till 2008 to get on the Apple iPhone… all in a device that is basically an unlocked phone straight from the factory.

The potential for setting up several cool new income streams that will raise eBay traders’ and e-commerce store owners’ stead with customers is immense… especially when most mobile phone wrist watches and camera phone watches on the market today are largely wholesale mobile phones and can be branded as the shop’s own phone (i.e the XYG camera phone watch) increasing the aura of exclusivity for the customer.

If you’re a eBay trader, electronics salesperson or dropshipper then the category of cell phone wrist watches available on the market today is potentially too good to ignore. Why not test the market out today and see what cool cell phone watches you can find to stock in your store.
